Beste kameraden van het Nationaal Democratisch Front van de Filipijnen en Friends of the Filipino People in Struggle,
Revolutionaire Eenheid brengt hun hoogste saluut en beste wensen over aan het Nationaal Democratisch Front van de Filipijnen, ter gelegenheid van hun 51ste jubileum, en aan Friends of the Filipino People in Struggle, ter gelegenheid van hun derde jubileum. Het is door jullie langdurige en standvastige werk dat het NDF en haar lidorganisaties, de Communistische Partij, het Nieuwe Volksleger en de revolutionaire massaorganisaties, in staat zijn geweest miljoenen Filipijnse arbeiders en boeren te organiseren in hun strijd voor echte nationale en sociale bevrijding. .
De fascistische VS-Marcos dictatuur voert een meedogenloze oorlog tegen het Filipijnse volk en hun revolutionaire organisaties. Massamoorden, willekeurige bombardementen, massa-arrestaties en de ontvoering en executie van revolutionaire leiders hebben duizenden mensen het leven gekost. Wij eren de martelaren van de Filipijnse revolutie, degenen die hun leven hebben gegeven voor de strijd van het volk. Wij wensen beterschap voor de gewonden. En we sluiten ons aan bij de strijd voor de bevrijding van alle Filipijnse politieke gevangenen.
De revolutionaire beweging in de Filipijnen is een doorn in het oog van de grootste imperialistische vijand van de volkeren van de wereld, de Verenigde Staten. Samen met de anti-imperialistische en revolutionaire krachten in Palestina, Jemen, India en andere landen dwingen jullie de VS om hun krachten breed en dun te verspreiden. Gecombineerd met toenemende inter-imperialistische conflicten creëert dit openingen waar revolutionaire bewegingen van kunnen profiteren.
Voor ons als revolutionaire organisatie in Nederland is het belangrijk om de strijd van het Filipijnse volk via de NDF en FFPS te steunen als onderdeel van ons proletarisch internationalisme. We bouwen aan een duurzame Filipijnse solidariteitsbeweging in Nederland door het organiseren van evenementen, demonstraties, propaganda-acties en fondsenwerving. We zijn er trots op dat we vanaf de oprichting lid zijn van FFPS. We zullen blijven strijden voor de uitbreiding ervan en pleiten voor het recht van het Filipijnse volk op verzet tegen imperialisme, feodalisme en bureaucratisch kapitalisme.
Het is een voorrecht voor ons om nauw samen te werken met onze Filipijnse kameraden, door de aanwezigheid van het NDF International Office in Nederland en solidariteitsdelegaties naar de Filipijnen. We zullen samen blijven strijden tegen het imperialisme, kapitalisme en fascisme, en voor de bevrijding van de Filipijnen, Nederland en de wereld.

Dear comrades of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines and Friends of the Filipino People in Struggle,
Revolutionaire Eenheid sends its highest salute and warmest greetings to the National Democratic Front of the Philippines, on the occasion of its 51st anniversary, and to Friends of the Filipino People in Struggle, on the occasion of its 3rd anniversary. It is through your protracted and steadfast work that the NDF and its member organizations, the Communist Party, the New People’s Army and the revolutionary mass organizations, have been able to organize millions of Filipino workers and peasants in their struggle for true national and social liberation.
The fascist US-Marcos dictatorship has been waging a relentless war against the Filipino people and their revolutionary organizations. Mass killings, indiscriminate bombing, mass arrests and the kidnapping and execution of revolutionary leaders have killed thousands of people. We salute the martyrs of the Philippine revolution, those who gave their life for the people’s struggle. We wish recovery for the wounded. And we join the struggle for the liberation of all political prisoners in the Philippines.
The revolutionary movement in the Philippines is a thorn in the eye of the number one imperialist enemy of the people of the world, the United States. Together with anti-imperialist and revolutionary forces in Palestine, Yemen, India and other countries, you are forcing the US to spread its forces wide and thin. Added to the increasing inter-imperialist conflict, this is creating openings for revolutionary movements to take advantage of.
For us as revolutionary organization in the Netherlands, it is important to support the struggle of the Filipino people through the NDF and FFPS as part of our proletarian internationalism. We are building a sustainable Philippine solidarity movement in the Netherlands by organizing events, demonstrations, propaganda actions and fundraisers. We are proud to be a member of FFPS since its inception. We will keep struggling for its expansion and advocate for the Filipino people’s right to resistance against imperialism, feudalism and bureaucrat capitalism.
It is a privilege for us to work closely with our Filipino comrades, through the presence of the NDF International Office in the Netherlands and solidarity delegations to the Philippines. We will continue to struggle together against imperialism, capitalism and fascism, and for the liberation of the Philippines, the Netherlands and the world.
